This book is a collection of 30 comic strips in the series "Charley Chaplin's Comic Capers"/"Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers". The original comicstrip ran from about March 1915, to about the middle of 1916. Originally written and illustrated by Stuart Wallace Carothers until he died, on October 4, 1915. According to the "The Austin American", October 14, 1915 from Austin Texas, Stuart had a headache, and was seen sitting in the window prior to what was called a accident, when he fell from the window. Then the duo Warren & Ramsey worked on the comic uncredited {according to comicskingdom.com's Archivist}, then Elzie Crisler Segar seems a to have worked on the comic until its end. The comics were originally published by "Chicago Herald" a newspaper " and sold to various other newspapers through the "J. Keeley-Handy Syndicate".
I tried to collect as many of these original comics as I could find, into a single collection. All together I found 342 of them, and uploaded them onto the following page. In total about 300-500 comics seem to have been created. Hopefully I found at least about half of them.

This is the fourth of 5 books that collected various comics from the series. Unfortunately the comics do not seem to be in any specific order, all released in 1917 by M.A. Donohue & Co. The first 4 were released as "painting" books, while the fifth book is a reprinting of the Sunday color comic strip pages. The book was 41 centimeters long, 25 centimeters in height, and 0.5 centimeters in depth.
* Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers, {62 comics} "No. 315"
* Charlie Chaplin in the Movies {30 comics} "No. 316"
* Charlie Chaplin Up in the Air {30 comics} "No. 317"
* Charlie Chaplin in the Army {30 comics} "No. 318"
* Charlie Chaplin's Funny Stunts, {8 sunday comic, broken up into 6 panels per page} in Fun Color {2 daily comics on each inside cover, for a total of 4 dailies.}
Each book seems to have multiple editions with each edition printing slightly different arrangement of comics. The contents changed and so did the comics inside the inside of the covers. The first edition of this book was printed with a seated tiger as the back cover illustration. Later editions have Charlie with a prison hat and lightning bolts, coming out from the center of the cover.
Charlie Chaplin's Comic Capers, Series 1, No. 315, First Edition, {with seated tiger on back cover. The tiger on the back cover was used on at least two other books produced by the same company, both painting books. "Boys & Girls Big Painting Book" {1916}, and "Holiday Painting Drawing & Book {1917}.

This comic strip series was later followed by another series created by different writer, and a differante syndication. "Charley Chaplin's Antics", which seemed to last for 30 comics spanning October-December 2016.
